"Hotel Association of India (HAI), the apex organization of the Indian Hospitality industry, is extremely saddened and distressed by the cowardly acts of terror that unfolded in Mumbai on 26/11 and continued thereafter. We strongly condemn these heinous acts against innocent people, guests, commuters and sick and infirm persons in hotels, hospitals, railway stations, airports and other public places. We deeply mourn the loss of precious human lives and pray for the welfare and speedy recovery of those who sustained grievous injuries.
In what are deeply unfortunate circumstances, the entire hotel industry re-affirms its resolve not to allow such mindless acts to disrupt the smooth functioning of the hotels and to assure the public that extra security measures have been taken to ensure the safety and security of the guests in keeping with the highest traditions of our country that values and honours its guests.
